Des artistes « du dehors » ont joint leur voix à ces œuvres en créant à leur journey des textes inspirés par l’enfermement : Jane Evelyn Atwood, Natalie Beausoleil, Chrystine Brouillet, Margaret Michèle cook dinner, Denise Desautels, Valérie Descroisselles-Savoie, Claire Jenny, Andrée Lacelle et Michel Ouellette.

Cette initiative est une collaboration entre l’Association des auteures et auteurs de l’Ontario français et los angeles Chaire de recherche « La felony dans los angeles tradition, l. a. tradition dans l. a. prison » de l’Université d’Ottawa. L’ouvrage est publié en coédition par les Éditions du remue-ménage et les Éditions Prise de parole.

Les textes de l’ouvrage couvrent une vaste gamme de genres littéraires courts, passant du poème au slam, du théâtre à l’épistolaire, du récit bref au conte. los angeles parole y est le plus souvent directe et sans fard.
